If you're into mobile development (and you are :), you'll surely know what Appcelerator Titanium is. To put it simple, it's a framework that allows you to build cross-platform (iOS and Android) mobile apps, using javascript as the programming languages and a number of classes that wrap platform-specific UI components and capabilities (such as the accelerometer, camera, file system & storage, compass etc.). Read more here, if you develop for more than just a platform it might be worth giving it a look and considering it.
Appcelerator has organized a 3-day conference all about its platform, CodeStrong. It will be held in San Francisco, Sept 18-20. There's also a Hackathon contest, with a first prize of 10,000$!
We love the product and the initiative, and thus we're sponsoring it (you see our logo on the conference's homepage). We'll also attend to the conference, and we'll have a booth there to meet existing users, and show what we do to new ones. IF you happen to be there as well, come say Hi, and get a nice gadget for free ;)
